Brighton, QPR, Leicester, Nantes 8/1.
With Christmas fast approaching it would be nice to get a little win to cover some pressies.
A nice four team accumulator that will pay out €90 euro off a €10 bet. Nantes are fifth in the French lique 1 and have some solid form going into this home tie against Valenciennes who are 3rd bottom. Leicester are our only team playing away today they sit pretty on top of the Championship and are playing Sheffield wednesday who only have one win out of 16 games this season.
Brighton didn’t lose in the last five games and are at home against bottom of the table Barnsley should be a comfortable win for Brighton. QPR are the big spenders in the championship and will want to bounce back after last weeks defeat with a home win against Bournemouth.
Goal Line Technology
Will the introduction of goal line technology into football ruin or enhance the game?
It’s a question that has divided fans of the worlds most popular sport. With many other sports already using technology such as tennis and cricket, football has been criticized for not moving with the times. In the 2012 Fifa world club Cup in Japan and in the 2013 Confederations cup goal line technologies were used. After the success of these technologies 2013-2014 Premier League has brought in Wimbledon technology company Hawk eye to provide goal line tech for the season.
The opinion is still divided with one side claiming that technology would ruin the human element of sport and remove the enjoyable arguments over mistakes. FIFA presedent Sepp Blater “Other sports regularly change the laws of the game to react to the new technology. … We don’t do it and this makes the fascination and the popularity of football”.
Let’s get the weekend started early, this is our biggest accumulator yet lets hope it lands at a massive 18/1.
Rubin Kazan, AZ Alkmar, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Fiorentina, Anzhi Makhachkala, PAOK Thessaloniki, Trabzonspor.
With seven teams this may be as hard to win as it is is to pronounce. All these teams are either first or second in there respective groups and either need to win to qualify or need to win to top their groups. Only one of these teams are away from home and thats PAOK who play a dismal Shaktar Karagandy who sit paddy last in the group.
€2 euro will return nearly €40 on this bet gives you entertainment if nothing else.
O’ Neill and Keane
It’s exciting times for us Irish soccer fans as Martin O’ Neill takes the reigns as Ireland manager together with his new and very controversial assistant Roy Keane.
Ireland: Westwood, Coleman, O’Shea, Wilson, Ward, McGeady, Whelan, McCarthy, McClean, Hoolahan, Keane.
The new regime got off to the perfect start with a 3-0 home win against Latvia at the Aviva on Friday night. Goals from Keane(22′), McGeady(68′) and Long(80′) sealed an easy win and a great start for the “bad cop” and the “bad bad cop”.
We got back on track this week with our four fold win be back next week with some new bets.
Halifax, Swindon, Cambridge Utd, Peterborugh Utd all to win at 6/1 best price.
Halifax play at home against Hyde today in the conference premier league. Hyde have been terrible this season losing 15, drawing 3 and not winning at all. Simple home win here.
Cambridge have a solid home record this season and are in first place in the conference premier league. They play at home tonight against a second from bottom Aldershot Town.
Both Swindon and Peterborough play at home in the JP Trophy tonight. They face poor opponents hence their short prices and should be good enough to both pick up wins tonight and progress to the next stage.
Man Utd, Real Madrid and Galatasary all to win 8/1
Manchester United face Real Sociedad tonight in the Champions league. United have been coming back to form lately and dispatched Fulham quite comfortably last weekend based on this form I can see them beating a poor Real Sociedad side tonight.
Galatasary are veterans in the champions league and after getting a valuable point against Juventus last time out I think Didier Drogba and Co will be too strong for Copenhagen.
Real Madrid are scoring goals for fun so far this season, with Gareth Bale getting back to full fitness and Christiano Ronaldo in top form I can see them taking three points from group rivals Juventus.
West Brom, Coventry, Leeds, Oxford all to win 7/1.
West brom play Crystal Palace at home today, after last weeks humiliating defeat against Liverpool west brom will look to bounce back against a poor Palace side who look to be favorites for relegation.
Leeds are having an average season so far but their home form has been solid and will look to continue that trend here today against newly promoted Yeovil.
Coventry have been a solid outfit and only for they were deducted 10 points at the beginning of the season would be lying in 5th position. They play Notts County who have not impressed on the road.
Oxford united are top of league two on goal difference and have only lost two out of fourteen games. They face Bristol Rovers today who are 21st and struggling.
Hopefully this will win and improve my dismal display of tips.
